The GamePanel™ LCD keeps you informed with game stats and other vital info to help you claim victory. With the GamePanel LCD, you can easily find out what server your friends are using to play Battlefield 2142, or receive notification when your WoW battleground becomes available. Create useful macros on the fly and play them back with a single press of a G-key. Backlighted keyboard allows you to play late into the night.
The case of Logitech G15 is made out of black and silver plastic. The black plastic is somewhat rough to the touch. There is a detachable hand-rest. The tactile feeling from the keyboard is nice. It is easy to type on. The keys sink down easily. There are no problems with pressing several buttons at a time – the G15 processes such situations correctly.
LCD Screen
The LCD display is one of the most remarkable features of the Logitech G15. There are several plugins for the G15:
- Media Display shows information about the played audio track; this feature currently supports iTunes, MediaLife, MusicMatch, RealPlayer, Sonique, Winamp and Windows Media Player.
- LCD Countdown Timer is a stop-watch and a countdown timer. You can start it up with the button under the LCD screen, but the initial time for the countdown timer can only be set up from the PC.
- LCD POP3 Monitor shows the status of your e-mail
- Performance Monitor shows CPU load and memory usage information
- LCD Clock shows a clock and calendar
- Keyboard Profiler shows tips on entering new macros
Programmable Keys
The Logitech G15 has 6 programmable G buttons placed in three blocks on the right of the main field. These buttons are meant to be programmed by the user and offer very broad opportunities. There are three groups and each of the G buttons can store a macro.
